Getting Your First 10 Clients As A
Mobile Beauty Therapist.
Chris Wright, the owner of Level 10 Living has written for you, some tips to get your first set of clients.
So you have got your own business, or you are thinking about
launching your own mobile beauty therapy business, then this is super exciting! But
how do you get your first few clients that come regularly, and tell their
friends about you too!
I thought I would give you a checklist for you to go through to get some ideas on how to get your first 10 consistent clients in your mobile Beauty Therapy businesses.
Some of these ideas are free, but will take your time and
effort, and some have a costing element. Now obviously the more of these you do, the more attention you will get and the more likely you are to pick up your first few clients
asap.
Here are a few ideas, that you should do to get your
first 10 clients and more:
1.
Reach Out
To Your Social Sphere – Let everyone, and I mean everyone know the amazing
things you can do.
·
Tell your family and friends to tell all their friends, make
them write a text and hit send to all on their phone with your details.
·
Email everyone you know, telling them how
excited you are, and telling them, if they need X done, to call you.
·
Same thing on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram!
·
Ask friends, family, the person you met in the
line at Costa, to send an email around their workplace to let them know of who you are and what you do.
2.
Get
Social - you have Facebook & Instagram. What you do is visual, so you
need to be all over these. Show people what you do! Take
pictures of every set of nails you do, or the bride after you have done her
makeup. Share this everywhere! Make sure that you are very active on these, posting a couple of times a day.
·
For example – check out this person –
https://www.instagram.com/nailsvideos/
- Clearly to go to person for 9.7million
followers
·
https://www.instagram.com/nailsartvidss/
or perhaps this person 8.9million followers
3.
Create
links with other businesses who serve your ideal client.
For example, your clients all want to look
amazing. Which other businesses also serve that person? Here are a few:
o
Hairdressers
o
Gyms
o
Personal trainers
o
Spas
Get into those businesses, build
a relationship with the owner and cross promote each other. Think a hairdresser
sees 8 clients a day, all wanting to look good. They talk about anything and
everything, including, their daughters wedding that’s coming up, they might
need a beauty therapist. Which will then be the perfect opportunity for you.
4.
Facebook
Ads – this is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to get in front of your
prospective clients. You can specifically target people who have just got
engaged, or mums with 2 children under the ages of 5. Wedding make up and mums
pamper package, sorted right there!
·
Even if you don’t have a website you can still
do this. You can collect leads right on Facebook, even promote a special offer
for people to claim. (If this is
something you would like some help on, then just leave a comment on the blog
telling us, if enough people want it will put something together).
5.
Write
A Blog – If you have a website, in fact even if you don’t you can do this
on your Facebook page now. You should be writing content about the thing you
are promoting. If your thing is waxing, then give out waxing tips. If it's make up, give out make up tips. Some people think this is odd because
they are giving away their secrets and then people won’t come in. But actually
it works in reverse, people love what they see, you become the go to expert,
and people start ringing to book. Also, a blog is a much easier thing for
people to share than a “use Jenny she is awesome”. A “how to” guide for nails
is easily shareable.
6.
ASK –
o
One of the things that drives me nuts is people
never actually ask for the sale. They never tell people about what they do, and
if they do, they never say, “Would that be something you would be interested
in?”. You have to actually ask, if someone enquires about what you do, and they
seem genuinely interested then ask them if they would like to book in an
appointment.
o
Also, tied in with this, when you write your
blogs, or post pictures and videos on Facebook. Make sure you state at the end, “If you would like to find out more, or to book an appointment call me on
####### or visit www. “
o
At the end of every appointment, ASK, if they would like to book their next appointment. Don’t let them leave and just hope and pray they will
call at some point. Take action. Say, those nail should last about 4 weeks,
shall we book in another appointment for then. Or perhaps in conversation they
mentioned a big event they have in 3 weeks time. “Hey Jane, shall we book in a
nails, eyebrows and waxing session they day before your big event in 3 weeks
time?”
Notice I have not said go and spend hundreds or thousands on
building a super fancy website. Do I think a website is essential in the long
run, yes.
So put yourself out there, go get those clients and lets
grow your business!
