Babtac Awards 2016!

OMNI at the Babtac Awards 2016!

Following an amazing evening at the annual Babtac and Cibtac awards the whole team at Omni were left feeling very inspired having watched many talented and passionate industry professionals collect their well deserved awards.

We were left particularly enthused having listened to a talk from a young Beauty Therapist called Rianne Chester. In 2015 at just 21 years old Rianne represented Great Britain at the prestigious World Skills Award in Brazil where she won the Gold medal in her Category and also took home The Albert Vidal Award, recognising herself amongst ‘the best of the best’. She is the first UK representative to ever win The Albert Vidal Award.

The World skills competition is held every two years and is the biggest vocational education and skills excellence event in the world. The Competitors represent the best within their sector and are selected from competing within skill competitions in world skills member countries and regions. All competitors are all under the age of 23 and have to demonstrate technical abilities both individually and collectively to execute specific tasks. The Competitors with the highest points at the competition receives the highly prestigious Albert Vidal Award.

Since winning Gold and The Albert Vidal Award Rianne has built her own successful business and aims to go into teaching to share her knowledge and skills with other aspiring therapists of the future. Rhianne has also since been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) on Her Majesty The Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to skill and will be joining in on the Queens 90th birthday celebrations with a service of thanks giving at St Pauls Cathedral.  What an amazing achievement and a credit to our industry Rianne is! I’m sure you will all join us in congratulating Rianne on her accomplishments.

As many of you will know we were also all very proud during our evening at the Babtac and Cibtac awards of our very own Marcio, who was a finalist within the Male Therapist of the Year category. Marcio completed his Level 2 with us in December and is already flourishing within the industry.

We would love to encourage as many of our students past and present, like Marcio to consider entering such competitions. Within the industry there are many awards such as the Babtac and Cibtac Awards, World Trade Skills, The Professional Beauty Awards and more!

It’s an amazing opportunity to not only develop yourself and skills but also the chance to platform your talent and open many doors to potential future opportunities! Some benefits of entering such awards are:

  • Stand out from your competitors
  • Helps reassure your existing clients that they are coming to the best person
  • Winners logo can be used to attract new clients
  • Means you can measure your performance, comparing yourself to competitors
  • Invaluable promotional tool for your Business
  • Helps motive employees
  • Promotes yourself/business

Well done to our Marcio!

If any of you would be interested in entering any competitions please let us know and we will provide as much information and support as we possibly can.
